This is an Easter tradition that my sister shared with me. We made it today so it can be the treat for our family night lesson on resurrection tonight. The rolls come out hollow and are supposed to represent the empty tomb.
Ingredients:
Frozen roll dough (I used Rhodes)
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup sugar mixed with 1 Tablespoon cinnamon
large marshmallows (same number as rolls)
Directions:
Line baking sheets with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray (trust me on the foil - it will prevent lots and lots of scrubbing later!) Place frozen roll dough on cookie sheets and allow to thaw. When dough is thawed take one piece at a time and flatten into a round about 4" in diameter. Roll a marshmallow in butter, then in the cinnamon sugar. Place marshmallow in the center of dough and pinch dough all around it so that the dough encases the marshmallow. Pinch tight!!! Dip the top of the roll in butter, then in cinnamon sugar. Put it back on the baking sheet and allow it to rise to double the size. Repeat with the rest of your dough. Bake for 14-17 minutes or until golden brown. Remove immediately from the cookie sheet and cool on a wire rack (or your rolls will be permanently glued to the foil).

What a cool recipe! We'll have to try it this weekend.
That's a great idea! What a good Easter tradition.
