Cinnamon Sugar Muffins

Another fantastic recipe from the Serials Cookbook!

I doubled the amount of nutmeg and allspice and received rave reviews all around, but I'm posting it as-written.

1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup melted butter
1 egg

Whisk dry ingredients, spoon in wet ingredients. Bake at 400 for 10-13 minutes. Dip hot muffins in melted butter (NOT the 1/3 cup that goes IN the muffins), and then a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.

It claims to make about 18 muffins, but I made 12 normal sized ones...barely.

So do you dip the WHOLE MUFFIN or just the top into butter?

Just the top.

Are you sure it wasn't 18 mini-muffins?? I got 11, and probably would have been regular size muffins at 9. Very Tasty however!!
